On October 23, dance enthusiasts can look forward to a special highlight: The popular dance party “…and the beat goes on!” is returning to the Altes Kino in Mels. Since 2018, the event has been a staple of the Sargans region’s nightlife. It all began at the Sagibeiz in Murg, where music lovers of all ages gather to the sounds of the past 50 years. From rock, funk, soul, and reggae to pop, dance, and house, Heinz Zeller—aka DJ Hein-Z—gets everyone dancing. Heinz Zeller emphasizes that this isn’t a traditional oldies disco, but rather an event for anyone who enjoys dancing. Whether you’re alone, with friends, or as a couple, the party offers a unique atmosphere for everyone. “It’s a party for like-minded people who just want to have fun and dance,” says Zeller. The event begins at 8 p.m. and ends at midnight—true to the motto “quit while you’re ahead.” The bar opens at 7:30 p.m.
