Flumserberg Alpine Cheese Market with Cow Race

At the traditional Alpchäsmarkt, the alpine dairies of Flumserberg offer their cheeses for tasting and sale at the beautifully decorated stalls. In the traditional cheese dairy, you can experience the traditional craft of cheese-making first hand. The traditional cheesemaker will show you how cheese was made in Heidi's day and will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
A very special spectacle is the cow race, unique in Switzerland, in which exclusively female jockeys compete over two laps for the crown of the Cow Grand Prix. "Attention, ready, MUUH...!" - Convince yourself of the qualities of the racing cows before the starting signal and bet on your favorite at the betting office. Younger guests can compete in the mini cow race on bouncy cows and win small prizes.

11:00 a.m. – Opening ceremony with the Flumserberg Schällnerclub and opening of the betting office
11:30 a.m. - Traditional cheese-making: “Cheese-making like in Heidi’s day”
12:00 PM – 2:30 PM - Mini cow race with bouncy cows
12:00 PM - Performance by Stefan Roos
12:30 p.m. - Introduction to the racing team
1:30 p.m. - Performance by Stefan Roos
3:00 p.m. - Start of the cow race: Ready, set, MOOH...!
followed by the awards ceremony and a performance by Stefan Roos
3:30 p.m. - Payouts at the betting office and a cozy wrap-up at the Cow Race Bar

The event will take place regardless of the weather. In case of inclement weather, a heated festival tent will be available. Food and drinks are available either at the food and beverage stands or at the Sennästube restaurant.
