The festival and cultural summer has holiday region Heidiland to offer in the holiday region Heidiland . Open-air concerts covering a wide range of genres await music fans. The spectrum ranges from atmospheric pop hits to musical spectacles on Lake Walen.
Chaplin - the musical
In the summer of 2026, Walenstadt will be transformed into a very special venue: the open-air musical with mountain views will take place right on the idyllic shores of Lake Walen. Chaplin – the Musical will run from June 10 to July 25, 2026.
Wednesday to Saturday, starting at 7:45 p.m.
The afternoon performance on Sunday, June 21, 2026, begins at 1:30 p.m.
Tour of Switzerland
Bad Ragaz will be a stage location for the Tour de Suisse for the fourth time in 2026. The new race format will ensure more interaction and cycling for all spectators. Experience professional cyclists such as Tadej Pogačar up close in Bad Ragaz and feel the electrifying race atmosphere. The Tour de Suisse will take place from June 17 to 21, 2026. Bad Ragaz will be the stage location on day 3.
Alpine descents
It is undoubtedly the highlight of the alpine summer. The alpine descents are a source of excitement for young and old alike when the decorated animals arrive in the villages. The one in Mels is the biggest in the region. But the alpine descents in Wangs and Flums also have a large fan base. A visit is always worthwhile.
Quellrock Open Air
The Freudenberg castle ruins will once again be rocking on June 19 and 20, 2026. The open-air festival above Bad Ragaz has established itself as an insider tip and surprises every year with an impressive lineup. The headliners for the Quellrock Open Air in summer 2026 will be announced in spring 2026.
Heidi Classic
The impressive classic cars are rolling through Heidiland again. The tour starts in Bad Ragaz, from where participants set off on a two-day trip through some of Switzerland's most beautiful regions. The route takes them through vineyards, over famous Alpine passes, and through high Alpine valleys. Everything from charming modern classics to stylish old-timers with character will be at the starting line. Those who take part in this event love cars with history – and you can hear that as soon as the engines start. The event will take place from June 25 to 28, 2026.
Flumserberg Open Air
For fans of Swiss pop music, the Flumserberg Open Air is a fixed date in the calendar. In summer 2026, Trauffer and many other stars of the scene will be performing in a line-up that is sure to rock the mountains. The program will be rounded off by a warm-up party, the legendary Edelwyss Party, and a family day with Linard Bardill and a Schwiizergoofe workshop.
