Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Igis, consecrated around 1100, impresses with a late Gothic pointed vault from 1486 and a depiction of the Passion of Jesus from the 15th century. It is an important historical building in the region.
The view from the street over the steps, the gable of the church roof to the spire: a tangible connection between the earthly and the heavenly. In 1440, the chapel becomes a parish church. The choir was enlarged in 1486 with a late Gothic pointed vault and later became the burial place of the von Salis-Marschlins. Interesting inside: depiction of the Passion of Jesus from the 15th century.
