Pizzeria Cosa Nostra
It all began with an idea: in 1995, the company "Cosa Nostra" opened a small pizza courier on just 55m2 of OMAG premises in Mels.
The equipment: a pizza oven, a table, a washbasin, a tiny office, a bar table and a small car to deliver the pizzas.
On offer: 26 different pizzas and a few pasta dishes... that's all it took to meet the need for traditionally made pizzas in the region. The initial idea was soon met with great demand, ordering food at home quickly became a trend and the demand to experience and enjoy the "Italianita" on site grew more and more. So after just one year, in July 1996, Sangrigoli Senior and Junior decided to expand the premises threefold. The result was a pizzeria with 25 seats.
In January 2018, "OLD became NEW" and in addition to the newly created pizzeria with 22 seats and takeaway in the rear part of the premises, a trattoria with a further 25 seats was created in the front part, separated by the kitchen. You can still feel the flair of the old walls of the OMAG building. And although the world may be turning faster and faster, the clocks still tick differently in family businesses. It's not short-term profits that count, but building something up and passing it on to future generations - that's what it's all about.
"Un grande abbraccio" to the Padron and founder of "Cosa Nostra", Santos Sangrigoli!
