Pfarrer-Künzle Grotto

The grotto welcomes us with a Pietà, a crucifix on the grotto hill and a small bell tower just behind it. The grotto, built in 1912/13 under Father Johann Künzle, confronts you, contrary to all expectations, with deep energies. Read the words of Jesus: "All you who are passing by, see if any pain is like my pain." The place is connected to the pain that Father Künzle paid attention to, which he treated with herbs and often conquered. The grotto hill, invitingly designed with wooden benches as a place to linger, is not a place that will give you energy. Stay as long as you feel comfortable.
