At the Schlegel Weingut zur alten Post, we live and breathe wine. With a love for detail and plenty of time, we craft expressive wines at our traditional family-run winery that reflect not only the character of the vineyard but also our passion for our work.

In 2005, we began specializing in high-quality single-vineyard wines. With a total of seven hectares, Georg Schlegel Junior, now in his sixth generation, is responsible for the success of the wines.

If you want to preserve traditions, you can’t do without innovation. At the Schlegel Weingut zur alten Post, we bridge the past and the present and pursue our vision for the future with passion and a keen eye for detail. Nature sets the pace here, and it is precisely its unpredictability that makes our work so exciting and turns our wines into something unique year after year. Over the past 20 years, we have received numerous awards and accolades for our wines. We are deeply honored by this and it motivates us every day to give our very best.

Where tradition and vision meet on fertile ground.
We, Myriam & Johannes Lampert, both Bündner Herrschaft and have deep roots in the Bündner Herrschaft . Together with our family, we run a vineyard and farm in picturesque Jenins. To describe ourselves as young, innovative, and ambitious doesn’t quite fit us. We prefer to describe ourselves as down-to-earth and optimistic, and we are grateful that we can do what is close to our hearts and with which we can identify. We have a deep-seated trust in nature and greatly appreciate being able to create fine wines in this unique region. We consider it a privilege to have been able to turn our love of nature into a career.

We are convinced that a good glass of wine brings people together, brings joy, and creates memories. We cultivate our vineyards—spanning the region from Maienfeld through Jenins to Malans—according to organic guidelines, guided by the conviction: always with nature, never against it. This conviction is reflected in the winery as well. All our wines are spontaneously fermented, unfiltered, and crafted with great patience and passion. The diverse vineyard sites, the varied soils, the climatic conditions, and our commitment to getting the most out of our wines make them multifaceted, unique, and exciting.

We are doers and enjoy closing the ecological cycle by spending time with our sheep in addition to working in the vineyards and wine cellar. Our animals are a welcome change from our everyday work and the perfect complement to viticulture.
