Mental health and resilience help us cope with crises and build inner strength; this conversation explores the factors that influence them and how to strengthen them in a targeted way.

Mental health is a key foundation for quality of life, inner stability, and a healthy life. This lecture focuses on the concept of resilience: the ability to cope with life’s crises, develop confidence in one’s own resources, and remain capable of taking action even in challenging situations.

The conversation between Dr. Jens Wagner and Alexa Ritter, Arts and Culture Representative at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, explores the role that personal attitudes, social relationships, and one’s own imagination play in psychological resilience. Topics such as loneliness, depression, anxiety, and issues related to compulsive behavior and addiction are examined within a social context and explained in an accessible way.

In addition, the book explores how literature, art, music, and philosophical perspectives can help strengthen resilience. Statements from artists and philosophers who have themselves faced significant life crises illustrate how creative and intellectual engagement can provide guidance, strength, and new perspectives.

A conversation for anyone who wants to understand mental health holistically and consciously build their inner resilience.
