Maienfeld Castle
Maienfeld Castle, built around 1247, now offers restaurant rooms, apartments and a vineyard. The complex includes a historic palace and is owned by a local family.
The mighty castle tower, the oldest building in the castle complex, was built around 1247. At the beginning of the 15th century, the castle complex reached its full extent with the palas (with chapel, courtroom and living quarters) and courtyard enclosures with a defensive wall and drawbridge. Today, the castle includes restaurant rooms, apartments and a vineyard. It is owned by a local family.
