House to the bell
The Haus zur Glocke in Zizers is a three-storey historic building that once served as an inn and later as a town hall. It was built in 1686 and renovated in 1702 and 1966.
The three-storey building is one of the oldest in the village. It was once an inn, then the town hall of the Fünf Dörfer district and the seat of various government offices. It formed the northern end of a row of historic buildings that grew over decades and centuries along the north-south connecting road. In addition to 1686 as the year of construction, 1702 and 1966 appear to be the years of renovation.
