This is also where the area of the Glarus Thrust reaches its highest point at around 3100 m.a.s.l. The Glarus Thrust can be traced in the west along the Glaserhorn-Tristelhorn chain and in the Sardona Group, in the north in the Pizol area and in the south in the area of the Vorderrhein, which provides a good overview of its spatial course.
