Windegg viewpoint

The information center for the Sardona Tectonic Arena UNESCO World Heritage Site is located in the Tamina Valley between Pfäfers and Vadura. With its unique view of the Glarus Main Thrust at the Wildseehörner and a vista across the Tamina Valley toward the Taminaschlucht (Tamina Gorge) , it is a popular spot to linger. In addition to comfortable seating and lounging areas, creatively designed information panels, viewing platforms, and climbing rocks invite visitors to linger. From the lookout point, you also have an excellent view of the Tamina Bridge, Switzerland’s largest arch bridge. It connects the two villages of Pfäfers and Valens at the valley’s mouth.
