Alpine market Flumserberg and Kuhrennen

At the traditional Alpchäsmarkt, the alpine dairies of Flumserberg offer their cheeses for tasting and sale at the beautifully decorated stalls. In the traditional cheese dairy, you can experience the traditional craft of cheese-making first hand. The traditional cheesemaker will show you how cheese was made in Heidi's day and will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
A very special spectacle is the cow race, unique in Switzerland, in which exclusively female jockeys compete over two laps for the crown of the Cow Grand Prix. "Attention, ready, MUUH...!" - Convince yourself of the qualities of the racing cows before the starting signal and bet on your favorite at the betting office. Younger guests can compete in the mini cow race on bouncy cows and win small prizes.

The event takes place in all weathers. In bad weather, a heated marquee is available. Catering is available either at the food and drink stands or in the Sennästube restaurant.
