Snowshoe tour to the Spitzmeilen Hut

Day 1
After a short mountain ride on the Prodalp Express, we first walk comfortably along the winter hiking trail to Alp Panuöl and on to Alp Fursch. The friendly mountain restaurant invites us to stop for lunch. From here, our trail leads away from the mainstream and becomes increasingly steep on a plateau that takes us to the panoramic Spitzmeilenhütte (2087m). The bizarre peaks on the hilly landscape are impressive. From the cozy lounge, we enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama and let Esther & Roland and their crew spoil us with culinary delights.

Day 2
Refreshed, we leave the unique hut. The varied tour first leads across wide plains and then increasingly scenic routes to Wissmeilen (2481m). In the heart of the Sardona World Heritage Site, we take our time to enjoy the breathtaking view. The descent follows the wide slopes of Alp Fursch and Panuöl, bringing us to Maschgenlücke, where we toast to our eventful days together. Afterwards, a short climb takes us to Maschgenkamm. Here, the train takes us down to Tannenboden.

REQUIREMENTS: Adequate physical fitness, enjoyment of nature and socializing. This tour is also suitable for beginners. At the start of the tour, there will be a brief introduction to the use of avalanche transceivers.

MEETING POINT: Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 8:15 a.m., Flumserberg Tannenheim

ARRIVAL: Individual arrival. For participants arriving by car, there are paid outdoor parking spaces at the Tannenheim valley station.

RETURN JOURNEY: Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m., from Flumserberg Tannenboden. From here, there are regular bus connections to the parking lot in Tannenheim, or you can take the cable car to the train station in Unterterzen.

FOOD/DRINK: During the day, we will eat lunch and small snacks from our backpacks, and tea will be available from the hut. On the first day, there will be an opportunity to have lunch at Alp Fursch.

ACCOMMODATION: We will be staying in shared rooms at the Spitzmeilenhütte. The use of a silk sleeping bag is mandatory.

REGISTRATION / PAYMENT: Registration until February 24, 2026 / Your registration is final after payment of the costs via IBAN or Twint.

IMPLEMENTATION: The program will be adapted to the circumstances. The tour can only be canceled by the organization. In this case, you will receive a message via text message two days before the tour.
