Getting Here and Transportation

The organizers are encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy this major cycling event in the most sustainable way possible. They recommend traveling by:

  • public transportation
  • by bike
  • on foot from the region

SBB trains are running as usual, so Bad Ragaz remains easily accessible by train. It’s just a short walk (10 minutes) from the Bad Ragaz train station to the Tour de Suisse starting area.

For an event of this magnitude, temporary traffic restrictions are unavoidable. Various streets in Bad Ragaz will be partially closed or have restricted access from Thursday, June 18, at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, June 19, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Through traffic will be rerouted over a wide area.

Setup work for the finish area and fan zone will begin in Bad Ragaz as early as Thursday, June 18, 2026, starting at 8:00 p.m. The relevant streets and squares will be closed at that time. Dismantling work will then begin on Friday, June 19, 2026, after the race at approximately 6:30 p.m. and is expected to be completed by 9:00 p.m. After that, the road and square closures will be lifted.

During the road closures in Bad Ragaz, access through the town will be very limited. However, access will be guaranteed for residents. In addition, the towns of Pfäfers, Valens, and Vättis will no longer be accessible via Bad Ragaz during the closures. All passenger and heavy traffic will be diverted via Sarellistrasse to Pfäfers. The main detour around Bad Ragaz runs from Sargans, as well as from Landquart, via Fläsch and Maienfeld.
