Quinten a car-free village on Lake Walen, accessible only by boat or on foot. The ship offers regular connections from Unterterzen, Murg, or Walenstadt. Alternatively Quinten hiking trails lead from Murg or Au to Quinten offering magnificent views of the lake and mountains.

Important information: The boats operate seasonally – please check the current timetables. Quinten shopping facilities in Quinten (small local shops). There are restaurants in the area. Dogs are allowed on the boat but must be kept on a leash.

Access to the Old Baths of Pfäfers and the Tamina Gorge is possible by post bus every hour from Bad Ragaz station at xx:35 (except 12:35), by horse-drawn carriage, or on foot. Cars, bicycles, and e-scooters are prohibited along the entire route.

Bicycles can be transported on the Weesen-Walenstadt-Weesen route if possible (advance booking required). Please contact Walensee ship . Bicycles cannot be transported on theQuinten cross-lake route.

The Tamina Gorge can be reached via various hiking trails. The most popular and frequently used route leads from Bad Ragaz via Badtobelstrasse to the Old Baths in Pfäfers.

The hike takes around 1.5 hours, depending on your starting point and walking speed.

From Bad Ragaz train station, it is 5.5 kilometers and just under 200 meters of elevation gain (one way only).

There are reduced rates for groups on the Walensee boat. The reduction is 10% of the ticket price for groups of 10 or more adults. Groups of 10 or more people must be booked in advance. Menus, aperitif buffets, canapés, croissants and more can also be arranged for groups by prior arrangement.

No, it is prohibited to drive to the Tamina Gorge by car or bicycle. There is a general driving ban (including bicycles) from Badstrasse in Bad Ragaz to the Tamina Gorge. For this reason, the gorge can only be reached on foot, by public post bus, or by horse-drawn carriage (individual trips).

Yes, you can also visit the Tamina Gorge with a baby carriage. You can pick up a key to get through the turnstile at the kiosk in the Alte Bad Pfäfers.
