"The booking was for a biker loft - motorcycles could go in the room. Large room with bed by the window, visible from the outside, bathroom in the room, cozy cozy corner, separate toilet. Normal breakfast, sitting on high tables with bar stools. Just, everything a bit special. Otherwise super friendly staff, helpful, courteous. Super location above Lake Walen with a great panoramic view. Very friendly and courteous Special, but well equipped. Unfortunately the window was directly at the entrance For the location and the equipment it fits, with the included breakfast it is a bit high. "Brilliant to get to the bedroom by motorcycle. Mattresses and pillows excellent. Rooms could be nicer. TV unfortunately without Swiss programs. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. "because the online system doesn't work, I called x times and was never / not sure if it would work. The hotel reservation then worked with 2 rooms. The reservation at the Sagibeiz didn't really. They knew nothing about a reservation. We then got a place. Price / performance unsatisfactory had to ask for muesli to be refilled - they were all empty, more choice (salami, ham, cheese) in the night at 3h06 the alarm went off, but nobody knew anything about it. Actually that can't be because it is recorded somewhere. had everything necessary"

"Online check in was easy, the room was nice and big - very nice with the pictures of the industrial past. Unfortunately there were stains on the sofa, the floor and the ceilings which made it look unkempt. Breakfast was top notch again, they use local producers like Geska for dairy products or Elmer mineral water which we really liked. Service during breakfast and checkout was also good. "The hotel room was really very good and we were also completely impressed by the private spa - for these 2 points the Lofthotel would have earned an overall rating of 5. On Saturday the Sagibeiz was hosting a wedding party - for this reason the "normal" guests were seated in the Sabistübli - on the one hand it was relatively cramped and spending an evening on high chairs (starter, main course, dessert, coffee etc.) is simply uncomfortable - so we were forced to look for an alternative in Walenstadt. Although we understand that the wedding reception required the appropriate space, we could have been informed correctly in advance (on arrival). Based on the information we received, it was not clear that the hotel guests would have to be served in the small Stübli. The breakfast was also disappointing, the vegetables (cucumbers) were soggy and the croissants had seen better days; it seemed like some of the breakfast was from 2-3 days ago. However, the location of the hotel is really brilliant and we will certainly book for the private spa again - but probably without an overnight stay and without meals in the hotel or "Sabibeiz".

"Basically we were satisfied with the room. It is minimally furnished but had everything you need. The breakfast at the hotel was unfortunately mediocre and I think it's a shame that you can't choose what you want to eat. The hotel advertises on Booking.com with a spa and wellness center, which then cannot be used because it is linked to a room that was already fully booked. Very misleading and disappointing as this was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. The food in the Sagibeiz restaurant was fantastic."

"Grüezi mitenand - Room size: wow, like a gym! - Bed: very comfortable - Two spiders in the room :-( - Separate toilet: basically very good, as the rest of the bathroom is open plan. But: the cubicle is so small, you can hardly close the door and you almost get claustrophobia. What was the architect thinking? - Bathtub: not up to date, difficult to get in, glass wall much too short as a splash guard - Shower: water pressure very good, but because of the bulky hose you couldn't adjust the direction of the water jet properly. - Washbasin: built right up against the shower wall, so you can't stand in front of it with two people. There would have been so much space on the right that a wider washbasin would have been no problem. - Bathroom in general: visually nice and clean but an architectural disaster! - Cosmetic tissues missing in the bathroom - Breakfast ok, but what was empty was not refilled - Proximity to the Sagibeiz is impressive Check-in rather tedious, check-out ok Size: huge Room layout catastrophic with bathroom far too small 3 stars, 1 night = 300. That is too much Close to the Sagibeiz Lake view unfortunately not assessable due to bad weather Breakfast ok, but what was empty was not replenished. "A check-in procedure that only has to be carried out online by each guest themselves - but still requires 1 person on the part of the hotel, be it for assistance, handing out batches etc., makes no sense in my opinion. It was our first - negative - contact with the hotel. Too bad. My room was nice and spacious with a wonderful view. Breakfast at 7.30 was only ready later. "On arrival on Saturday at 16.00 it did not work with the electronic key. The room was not made up either. (which, by the way, I would never have found with the information available without the receptionist). The room card, which I got after a 30 minute wait (did not work with the issue either), was then tested again with me, but then at 00.30 after returning from the wedding did not work again, but then at least the electric key. After a telephone request, someone came by and made an effort, but the fact that it only worked again in a roundabout way at midnight was really annoying. I understand the staff shortage, but at least the information should work. If I had checked in digitally and only got to the room at midnight without staff (if I had found it), I probably wouldn't even have been able to get the shower to work. Either the room and everything in it is explained to you properly or there is information, but it should be on an A4. No air conditioning, the blinds are not closed in the heat, the toilet is tiny, there is the only possibility with a socket and mirror (hairdryer). Only 2 sockets, one in the tiny WC and one on the floor. In view of the many glitches, the price-performance ratio (CHF 268.00 for 1 night) was disproportionate Satisfactory because the room was not made when I arrived. I was told it had been cleaned, but in the meantime it had obviously been used again. This was very irritating, I wondered why access was possible after cleaning. It was cleaned again, then it was clean The factory look and the location is nice"

"Basically, our stay was okay. But it is unacceptable that you have to pay an additional fee to be able to move into your room earlier. Especially not if you are a guest at a wedding that is taking place there and the guests are due to arrive at 3.00 pm. The system with self-check-in and digital room key is also unusable. When we wanted to go to bed at 02:00 after the wedding, the digital key did not work. The telephone at reception didn't work either and we were also unable to create a key card due to technical difficulties. Incidentally, it was a problem for all the guests at the wedding that they couldn't get into their rooms at night without difficulty. Perhaps it would be better to employ staff instead of relying on technical systems. Almost CHF 230 is a bit much if you run the risk of not even being able to sleep in the room you paid for at night."

"Digital anonymity doesn't give you a pleasant feeling. You have to enter everything yourself in your portal in advance in order to receive the digital key. However, that didn't work well. I had booked 2 double rooms. One of them for my parents, the other for my single use. The room allocation did not work via your link. Even after repeated email correspondence asking for your support, the data was not entered correctly. We arrived with a bad feeling because we didn't know whether we would even get into our rooms. Digitalization is all well and good, but only if it works 100% and is easy to use. Business people who travel regularly may be able to cope with such circumstances, but for tourists it is very nerve-wracking. The rooms are extremely poorly lit and partly in a worn-out condition (the water in the bathtub drains badly, the silicone joint on the shower partition is leaking, the tap is twisted, the vanity mirror is crooked, the bed creaks...). There is no socket by the bed where you can charge your smartphone overnight. If you use it as an alarm clock like I do, you have to get up first and walk a few meters to turn off the alarm. That has little to do with convenience. Given the high prices, this is all very annoying as it is not a youth hostel but a hotel. In addition, there was no clear indication in the morning that breakfast was not served in the Sagibeiz, but on the Sagisteg. We stood with other searching guests in front of a locked door until we saw the blurred chalkboard on which this was noted. But it didn't show where the Sagisteg was. A clear indication with a directional arrow would have helped. The breakfast is mediocre. The staff were also not very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the Lofthotel."

"We were here as part of the HWZ seminar. Our room was very nice (Ringspinnerei), clean and I felt very comfortable. The Rituals products in the room were also nice. The seminar room was spacious (fitness room), water was provided, projector included. But what was really very disappointing was the food. It was a real disaster. On the first day we had a salad for lunch. It was ok, but had a lot of brown bits. The gnocchi a la Romana was a bit confusing because it was actually polenta. This lunch was reminiscent of a canteen, but all in all it was ok. It was a shame that we weren't offered coffee. In the evening we had hot dogs. Hot dogs! They would have been ok if they had at least been delivered with a few special sides (e.g. some cole slaw). The fries announced on the menu were simply not available. Sorry, but that was just sad. The first breakfast: There were croissants. Very unkind and poor, no choice. But the second breakfast. Friends, that wasn't possible. Only the bread rolls that you serve us at dinner. The fruit bowl was not replenished, so there were only kiwis and an orange, which we grabbed straight away. In general, we had the feeling that we weren't wanted, which is why I didn't even show up for breakfast today. The others had lunch and dinner: Many of our fellow students didn't show up for lunch at all. A review: Meatloaf, mediocre, mashed potatoes bad, vegetables still raw. Lasagne ok, risotto dry. The last evening with the fish crispies was embarrassing. Rice and fish crispies. No vegetables, we only had the noodles with some vegetables from the day before, totally oversalted because it only had soy sauce on it. On request we got fries, the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. We are glad that we can go home. I would like a balanced meal. It could also be Ghackets and Hörnli or a potato gratin and vegetables. We stayed here for a total of 3 nights. It's just incredibly demotivating when the food is bad. We had to work on a data analysis and it would have been nice if we could have had something for the soul in the evening. Food is life (at least for me). Breakfast unfriendly, restaurant ok. Nobody asked if the food was tasty. Had the feeling the staff knew what was going wrong. Price-performance ratio is not right"

"To mention the positives first: Comfortable beds, fine breakfast, prior information about the event in Sagibeiz and generally friendly staff. But unfortunately, apart from these points, our stay was inadequate; three of us in a party of 8 paid 450.-, for which we got a bathroom that was dirty (other people's towels were lying around in the bathroom in the evening and still in the morning, washcloths were also still in the sink); the bathroom is only accessible via the forecourt (although it was noted in the room description, the photos of the wagon track 6 give the impression that the bathroom is in the wagon, which I would expect at this price); the big event was over at 03:00am, however at 04:00am loud Turkish music started blaring over the outside speakers all over the area - barmaids were cleaning up, so had to get up to ask them to turn the music off. At 07:20 the music started up again over the outside loudspeakers, the lady who was preparing breakfast had also unintentionally switched on the outside system - so the night's rest came to an abrupt end. 08:30 (breakfast was announced to be ready at 08:00) we went down for breakfast and were informed that it would only be ready in 10'... Room super clean Bathroom (shared) unfortunately less"
