"“Virtual” check-in was not easy. System did not work well, poor phone connection. Had to call due to the card reader wanting a PIN number and our card does not have a pin. We had a handicap room which was not needed. No food other than breakfast. Would have been nice to know before booking. The bells start early in the morning. And why do they ring so often and so long first thing in the morning? Washer and dryer was a plus. Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious enough. Views were great. Posting the history of why the church is connected would be a good informational tool. Along with bell explanation. No lunch or dinner option. What bar?"

"It was cold and in personal! When choosing this hotel there was no mention that it was owned and run by the Catholic Church , and connected to the church literally . So the bells rang on the hour beginning at 6am !! You check in at a kiosk and when you pick up the phone to speak to a person ) who know where they are ? The connection was going in and out and they were very hard to understand . They seemed annoyed when I politely said the connection was bad and I was only able to hear every other word ! Not once did a nun or anyone ever speak to us . A nun walked from table to table even at times sitting down with families and couples . Always skipping our table . Yes we were the only Americans staying there the three nights but we really wanted to ask so questions about the hotel model and the church . We had two rooms ( 2 couples ) and one of the four of us was a Catholic . She really wanted to speak with her . But we were ignored ! The cleaning staff did not add fresh towels but folded our used towels . We had to go the supply closet ourselves to get washcloths ( not given any from check-in ) and fresh towels . I am not someone who ever writes a review but this new model hotel is a definite No for us ! Beds felt like a couch ."

"Thank you for hosting my family on a gorgeous spring Thursday/Friday. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds allowed deep sleep. Breakfast incredible with invigorating views. We enjoyed the fitness area for stretching and workout above the lake. One issue we had in both rooms was the patio door almost crashing down on my wife. The hinge was detached, very heavy we helped her push the door back up. The broken doors would not function and prevented use of the room patios. Could not use patio Amazing breakfast In room coffee would be good."

"I had a fantastic stay! My room is spotless, comfortable bed and the area is so serene and view is superb. I love the ringing of the church bells. There’s always a place, and a corner where you can be on your own and the chapels are open if you want to immerse yourself in your thoughts. Spotless. I love the minimalist style. Great for half board accommodation. My pillow and bed was super comfortable. I like the self-check in and check- out. Parking is free. Excellent. Close to nature with the view of serene lake. Stress free surrounding. It full filled my wish to spend an area like this on Easter weekend. The Schönstatt Sisters are friendly, approachable and kind. I like it when there’s not so much to choose from but quality is good. Perfect for my needs."

"Ervis Riska will tell you the worst service from your call Center. They block our room after payment for 4 more days. Leave us outside the room waiting more than 3 hours and to resolve the problem they char more 200 euros to give us the key. They charge in total 500 Chf and didn’t leave us to go to the room. And it was after talk with 4 people at the call Center that don’t say nothing and keep repeat the same…"

"Ideal hotel with beautiful views, clean, spacious, very comfortable. Nice breakfast, free parking, automated check-in 24h. The only problem is wi-fi quality. You will not be able to see videos - the speed is very low. In combination with lower mobile network signal in the room - it leads to no-gadgets relax. For some people that might be a plus. Excellent geographical position and views."

"From the beginning I had difficulty to check-in due to system error, and no compensation founded. In the second day room service tried to enter the room while already i tell him to not clean the room. At all time the bell keep ringing almost every half hour with no sound isolation in the room. I know there is no A/C in the room however i surprised there is no ventilation in bathroom and no fans in the room to circulate air. Breakfast was less than expectation. Too high price for economical hotel."

"This is a clean hotel but in some respects plain weird. Check-in is an automated service via a computer terminal. That process works fine but obviously feels very impersonal. What's worse, there are no signs provided as to where to park the car. Short-term parking stalls for check-in and a map of the property would be helpful. The blinds of the room were not drawn and with the hot weather the room felt like a sauna when entering. Could not, for the life of me, find butter at the breakfast buffet and the WILDREIS-GEMÜSEBOWL on the dinner menu was an absolute joke: literally just a bed of rice with steamed clumps of carrots and zucchini on it. 26 francs for that? It was maybe worth 2 francs. We only ever saw 2 employees during our stay: the dining room server and the breakfast buffet attendant. It's a clean hotel with modern amenities but ultimately offers as much charm as a fax machine. Ok for hopelessly over-priced Switzerland The rice dish on the dining room menu is the single most uninspired culinary creation I have encountered in 61 years"

"We expected the hotel to be plain and simple. It is, but plain and simple with modern style and elegance, very comfortable, bright and airy. It is a half hour walk up a steep hill from Unterterzen station, unless you time it to pick up the local bus. Breakfast is good and generous."

"Im Bad (Dusche) waren noch (Scham-)Haare der Vorgänger. Der Rest war sauber. Eher teuer. (2 Nächte für 400 CHF) Bett bequem. Sehr modern und schick eingerichtet. Da die Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage sind, wäre ein Ventilator ganz nett gewesen. Die Hitze war unerträglich. Lüften gestaltet sich eher schwierig. Es hatte zwar Gläser auf dem Zimmer, aber kein Wasser. (Ist das nicht ein Standard bei einem 3*-Hotel?)"
